Terms of Service

This site introduces Daniel Whitmore's books and the subjects they cover. It is a personal author site. It does not sell anything directly, does not offer publishing or editorial services, and the only ways to interact with it are the newsletter sign-up and the contact form.

Use the site the way a visitor would. Please don't send automated requests to the forms, don't try to reach parts of the site that aren't meant to be reached, and don't use it to send unsolicited messages to anyone.

The writing on this site belongs to Daniel Whitmore unless another owner is named. The same applies to the photographs and the cover artwork of the books.

You are welcome to quote a short passage, link to any page here, and write about the books in a review or a newsletter. Please say where the words came from. Anything longer than a short quotation, or anything used commercially, needs a written request first through the contact page.

The books are sold through Amazon. This site shows what is available and links to it, but the sale itself happens on Amazon and under Amazon's terms. Prices, formats and availability can change without notice. Delivery, refunds and anything else to do with an order are handled by Amazon, not by Daniel.

The reviews shown on this site were written and posted by readers on Amazon and are reproduced here as they were written. They are one reader's opinion of a book. They are not claims made by Daniel, and the rating shown with them is a summary of reader ratings rather than a measurement of any one copy.

The site is provided as it is. Daniel keeps it accurate and available as best he can, but does not promise that it will be error free or always running. The books themselves are works of research and history. They are not legal, medical, financial or professional advice, and nothing on this site is.

Daniel is not responsible for loss or damage that comes from using this site, including anything that happens after a link takes you to Amazon or another address. Where the law sets a minimum that cannot be excluded, that minimum still applies.

These terms may be revised. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and the page always shows the terms in force today.
